Islamabad/Lahore: The arrest of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has been strongly condemned by many artists of the Pakistani showbiz industry and termed as cruelty.
Calling it the death of democracy, singer Qaratul Ain Baloch wrote that there is no formal democracy in the country now.

Khadija Shah wrote that at the time they arrested Imran Khan, he was unconscious, they hit Imran on the head with an object and sprayed him with pepper.
Actress Fareeha Altaf wrote in her response on Twitter that I am very sorry to see the arrest of Imran Khan, I hope he remains safe and I pray for his safe return.
