Occupied Jerusalem: Israeli authorities demolished a Palestinian school in the occupied West Bank.

According to the foreign news agency ‘AFP’, COGAT, a branch of the Israeli army, has said in a statement that this building, located about two kilometers from Jerusalem, was built illegally.

The EU delegation to the Palestinians said on its official Twitter account that Israel’s move was “disappointing”. He said that this will affect 60 Palestinian children.

The EU delegation said that telling the school was “illegal under international law” and would “only add to the suffering of the Palestinian population who are already living in the worst conditions.”

1/2 Appalled by reports that the EU-funded school in Jubbet Ad Dhib is being demolished by Israeli authorities right now. 60 Palestinian children are affected. Demolitions are illegal under international law, and children’s right to education must be respected.

Students and eyewitnesses said the building was reduced to rubble. “We got ready to come to school and when we got there, we didn’t find a school. If the Israeli forces continue to demolish schools, we will continue to build,” said student Muhammad Ibrahim.

Eyewitnesses also reported that the building was confiscated, the Israeli forces demolished the school and took everything with them, and the Israeli army loaded all the furniture into trucks and took them away.
