Islamabad: Imran Khan challenged Article 245 and the roundup of party workers in the Supreme Court.
He also challenged the court-martial action of Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders and workers under the Army Act.
Imran Khan filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court with the mediation of Advocate Hamid Khan, in the petition the federal government, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Azam Khan and others has been made a party.
Imran Khan took a position that this whole drama was created by Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif Maryam Nawaz propagated that Imran Khan wants to bring his army chief, although I always respected the institutions and stood by them, Pulwama incident. He requested that the Supreme Court should declare the implementation of Article 245 as unconstitutional, the Supreme Court should grant the right to immediate release of the Justice Movement workers, the Supreme Court should declare the court martial of civilians under the Army Act and the Official Secrets Act as unconstitutional. The court should form a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9, the court should declare the forced separation of Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders as unconstitutional.
