HONG KONG, (Sept 8) Typhoon Haikui first rose from Taiwan on Monday, 3rd Sep. It all started by Monday morning, and till then China’s national weather and ocean forecasters issued Black Warnings Rainstorm alerts since Sept 3rd, for Haikui as it quickly moved to the Taiwan Strait. Previously, China was hit by Typhoon Saola, on September 2, 2023. After Typhoon Saola, Typhoon Haikui shocked the whole world, as such high and frequent Typhoons were never seen in recent times.

Hong Kong cancels Friday trading due to the Rainstorm Warnings. Schools, businesses, and Traffic were hampered as the storm hit Hong Kong till 7th September.
Hundreds of Lives Endangered
83 Lives Endangered due to Floods in Hong Kong. Such Rainstorms were never seen but 140 years ago. This weather calamity has brought huge destructions in Southern China, as the visuals suggest the flood water had inundated the shopping centers and drained tunnels.
